Match predictions, preview

Real Madrid are no strangers to the Champions League Final and will be the firm favorites heading into Saturday night’s showdown. Not only does ‘Los Blancos’ hold the record for the most Champions League wins, but so does their manager, Carlo Ancelotti, with four to his name so far. He and his side will aim to add another trophy to their already illustrious collection.

On the team news front, Madrid will be without Aurelien Tchouameni will miss out with a foot injury. There are also doubts surrounding the availability of first-choice goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, who has reportedly been isolating away from the rest of the squad with the flu. If he isn’t available then the experienced Thibaut Courtois will be in line to deputise.

It has been a fairy tale journey so far for Edin Trzic and his team who have been the surprise package of the tournament so far. They have beaten Atletico Madrid in the Quarter-finals and PSG in the semi-final on route to Saturday’s final so they should certainly not be counted out of causing another upset. Dortmund haven’t won the competition since 1997 and were last in the final in 2013 when they were beaten by rivals Bayern Munich.

A win on Saturday for Dortmund would be the dream farewell for club legend Marco Reus who plays his last game for the team having spent twelve years at the club.

We predict lots of goals in the final with Real Madrid being just too strong for the opponents on the night.
