Match previews, predictions

Julian Nagelsmann and his side could not have got off to a better start after a convincing win over Scotland in their first game. The home side was under pressure to deliver a performance in front of their fans and they did exactly that. Despite Scotland being very poor, the Germans played some exciting football, and we got a glimpse of what some of their key players are capable of.

We expect the manager to go with an unchanged side after such a dominant victory in their first game. Another win would see them qualify and, as a result, allow him to rotate his team in the final group fixture.

Hungary lost their opening game to Switzerland, 3-1. They were unimpressive, particularly in the first half but improved significantly in the second half as they pulled a goal back. Marco Rossi will know that his side will be up against it on Wednesday and will have to try and frustrate their opposition if they are to get anything from the game.

If they are to lose, it will be important to try and keep the goal difference as low as possible as they will still be in with a chance of coming third in the group and qualifying for the next round.
We predict that the home side will have too much for Hungary and will win comfortably on Wednesday.
