Match preview, predictions
Both teams in group F got off to a winning start in their first group game and now go head-to-head on Saturday.
Turkey produced an impressive display, defeating Georgia 3-1, and scoring some spectacular goals on their way. Arda Guler and Mert Mulder produced goals that will already be contenders for goal of the tournament.
Vincenzo Montella will be pleased with what he saw in the first game and will be confident that his team can get a result against Portugal. The manager may name an unchanged side but will have to consider the threat that their opponents will pose going forward.
Cristiano Ronaldo and co left it late to win their opening game against Czechia as Roberto Martinez’s inspired substitutes combined to secure all three points in injury time. Portugal played well throughout but struggled to break down the defense block of the opposition. They went behind to a wonder strike from Lukas Provod but then managed to switch into gear and grind out the win.
Diogo Jota looked lively coming off the bench on Tuesday and will be pushing for a start to help take some pressure off Ronaldo. The manager may change his formation and sacrifice a midfielder or defender to get Jota into the side. We predict that Portugal will come away with the win in Dortmund.
