Match predictions, preview & predicted lineups
Pep Guardiola and his Man City side are on a three-game losing streak in all competitions, with many calling it a mini-crisis for the defending champions.
City currently sit second in the league table, just two points behind leaders Liverpool. There are several injuries within the squad at the moment, particularly in defense which has contributed to the instability at the back and goals conceded.
Captain Kevin de Bruyne made his first appearance midweek with a brief cameo off the bench against Sporting Lisbon. However, it is unlikely that he will be deemed fit enough to start on Saturday, but having him available will be a huge boost to the squad.
Despite no win in their last three outings, Brighton are just two points away from the top four places in the Premier League.
Fabian Hurzeler’s team made a very good account of themselves in both games against Liverpool in recent weeks and will draw confidence from their performances, particularly last weekend’s game at Anfield.
The team is creating chances and scoring goals, so there is no doubt that they will cause City problems on Saturday. Joao Pedro and Matt O’Riley should return to the matchday squad following injuries, whilst captain Lewis Dunk is expected to be ruled out again.
We predict the points will be shared at the Amex Stadium this weekend.
