Match predictions, preview & predicted lineups

Man City are currently five points adrift from league leaders Liverpool and hope that the international break has given their players a chance to rest and recover following multiple injuries to the squad.

We learned this week that Pep Guardiola has signed a new contract extension that will see him stay at the club for another two years, which indicates that the manager is as hungry as ever to succeed.

Pep will have several key players back and available for selection including the likes of Jack Grealish, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji after they returned to training earlier this week.

The visitors will hope to erase the memory of their disappointing defeat at the hands of Ipswich Town before the international break. Ange Postecoglu has already defeated his rival manager once this season in the Carabao Cup so he will be confident that his team can come away with a good result again.

Spurs will be without Rodrigo Bentancur who has been suspended for seven games following his comments about teammate Son Heung Min in an interview conducted in Uruguay earlier this year.

Defender Micky van de Ven is still out for a few weeks while he recovers from a hamstring injury. Centre-back partner Cristian Romero is a doubt for the game so it will be interesting to see who will start in the heart of the Tottenham defence on Saturday.

We predict that Man City get back to winning ways with a convincing victory.

Predicted lineups:

Man City: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Akanji, Gvardiol, Lewis, Bernardo, Foden, De Bruyne, Savinho, Haaland

Tottenham: Vicario, Porro. Dragusin, Davies, Udogie, Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Son, Johnson, Solanke
