As we reach the halfway point of the regular season, the contenders and pretenders are starting to form two separate lists as we gear up for a crucial stretch in the year over the winter months.

The reigning champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, are the only team who remain unbeaten, but the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans are amongst the best of the rest in the AFC as they look to secure divisional top spots.
Over in the NFC, the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles and pretty much any team from the NFC West or North are in contention still, and it will be fascinating to see how that all shakes out over the coming weeks.
After the New York Jets defeated the Houston Texans in the TNF match-up, it’s on to Sunday’s slate with every other game available via the NFL Game Pass on DAZN, while Sky Sports will be showing the games previewed below…
Denver Broncos @ Baltimore Ravens
Sunday November 3, 18:00
Sky Sports NFL/NOW TV
Just when we think we can believe in the Baltimore Ravens being a legitimate Super Bowl contender, they serve up a stinker as they did last week in a defeat to their rivals, the Cleveland Browns.
Lamar Jackson and Co. will be looking to produce a response in front of their fans, but the Denver Broncos promise to be a tricky challenge given the way Sean Payton has coached this team up and quarterback Bo Nix has adapted to the NFL.
Still, although the warning signs are flashing bright, we’re sticking with the Ravens to get the job done and get back to winning ways as they try to close the gap on the Steelers in the AFC North.
Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers
Sunday November 3, 21:25
Sky Sports NFL/NOW TV
Despite losing defensive stud Aidan Hutchinson, the Detroit Lions keep rolling, sparked by their incredible offensive numbers having destroyed the Tennessee Titans last time out, 52-14.
They’ve topped 31 points or more in their last four games, but they should find it a lot harder against their divisional rivals. The Green Bay Packers can go top of the NFC North with a win at Lambeau Field, and with QB Jordan Love expected to shake off a groin injury he suffered last week, they might be in good shape to do so.
It’s hard to bet against the Lions given how good they’ve been this season and quite frankly they’re one of the most fun teams in the league again, but their high-powered offense could get slowed down in this one and that will play a big part in a close loss.
Indianapolis Colts @ Minnesota Vikings
Monday November 4, 01:20
Sky Sports NFL/NOW TV
After tapping out last week, Anthony Richardson has been benched by the Indianapolis Colts, and veteran signal-caller Joe Flacco will step in to take his place against the Minnesota Vikings.
The experienced QB will give the Colts a better chance of winning given the impact he’s had over the past year or so when given a start by the Browns previously, but it’s unlikely to be enough to help the Colts get a road win over a very good Vikings team.
Admittedly, they’re on a two-game losing skid going into this and their defense doesn’t look as daunting as it did in the early run of the season, but we’re going with a Vikings win to get back on track.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Kansas City Chiefs
Tuesday November 5, 01:15
Sky Sports NFL/NOW TV
Chiefs win. That’s probably enough of a preview on this one as the defending champs just continue to find a way. Having also now improved their roster with acquisitions over the past week on both sides of the ball, Andy Reid and his men are looking good for another run at the Super Bowl.
In contrast, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are riddled with injuries to key individuals, and so while Baker Mayfield may keep this fun and kind of close for a little while, it won’t be enough to stop the Chiefs from going 8-0 and continuing their march to securing the top seed in the AFC.
