Southampton are still looking for their first points in this season’s Premier League campaign. Russel Martin’s side have suffered defeat in all three of their opening matches and scored only one goal along the way. The manager will have used the international break as a chance to reset and move forward heading into their match against Man Utd.
Erik ten Hag will also be looking to bounce back after suffering a defeat to United’s closest rivals Liverpool just before the break. His side was comfortably beaten and underperformed yet again on the pitch, adding more pressure on the manager.
‘The Red Devils’ will have new signing Manuel Ugarte available for selection on Saturday which will be a big boost considering the team’s defensive issues. It remains to be seen if striker Rasmus Hojlund will return following the injury suffered in pre-season.
