Crystal Palace vs Liverpool – TNT Sports 1 – Saturday 12:30

Our Premier League action this weekend kicks off at Selhurst Park, with in-form Liverpool taking on struggling Crystal Palace.

Roy Hodgson’s side are on a really poor run of form as of late having only earned one point from their last four games. Most concerning is their home form, with three straight losses on the bounce. For a side that relies on their home form so heavily, this is a crucial game for them to try and avoid being sucked into the relegation places.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are firing on all cylinders and will be expecting to come away with all three points despite a few injuries to key players. Mohammed Salah is one goal away from reaching a milestone of 200 club goals for the Reds, and with no goal in his last three outings, he will be expecting to add another accolade to his impressive collection.

We can’t see anything other than a fairly comfortable win for Jurgen Klopp and his side on Saturday.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal – Sky Sports Premier League – Saturday 17:30

The busy festive period continues with high-flying Aston Villa facing league leaders Arsenal. Villa will look to pick up where they left off after an impressive win against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

If they needed any extra incentive for this fixture, there is also an opportunity for them to make history by beating their club record of consecutive home wins in the Premier League.

Can Arsenal be the team to spoil the party? Arsenal are in good form and are scoring lots of goals, however, they are also conceding more goals than we are used to seeing. Having barely got over the line last time out against Luton, Mikel Arteta will no doubt be looking for his side to tighten up defensively in what is a crucial game.

Expect this to be a close-fought encounter which may well end up with both sides coming away with a point.

NBA In-Season Tournament 2023 Championship Game – TNT Sports – Sunday 01:30

The inaugural NBA IST reaches its climax this weekend, as either the Los Angeles Lakers or New Orleans Pelicans from the Western Conference, face off against the Milwaukee Bucks or Indiana Pacers from the East.

It’s been an intriguing move from the NBA to introduce the new tournament format to freshen up the regular season schedule, and given the prize money pool on offer as well as the recognition of being the first winners of the trophy, whoever reaches the Championship Game will be highly motivated to finish the job.

Will LeBron James and the Lakers face off against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks in a battle of the No.1 seeds? Or can either the Pelicans or Pacers pull off the upset and go all the way? Back the Bucks to be crowned NBA In-Season Tournament champions for 2023.

Devin Haney vs Regis Prograis – DAZN – Sunday 03;00 approx

This weekend sees the debut of Devin Haney at 140 pounds. Having vacated all of his belts in the lightweight division, he is jumping straight in at the deep end when he faces the current WBC champion, Regis Prograis.

It’s a fascinating match-up as we will find out many unanswered questions – Is Prograis over the hill? How does Haney fair in this weight class?

Haney, who has an unblemished record and is the much younger fighter will come into the fight as the favourite, aiming to showcase his highly-rated technical boxing skills and speed. Prograis, on the other hand, has one defeat on his record, albeit a controversial one against Josh Taylor a few years ago. He is the more experienced fighter and most would consider him the heavier-handed of the two fighters, so we can expect an extremely interesting contest.

On this occasion, we can’t see beyond a close points decision win for ‘The Dream’, Devin Haney.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys – Sky Sports NFL – Monday 01:20

After their heavy loss at home to the San Francisco 49ers last weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to bounce back in another heavyweight contest.

The Dallas Cowboys [9-3] know a win here against their NFC East rivals, who sit top of the standings currently with a 10-2 record, will move them level and right in the hunt for the top seed in the Conference.

Given the firepower on both sides led by QBs Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts, this promises to be a thriller and a closer contest than the Eagles-Niners, while both defences boast some great talent too.

Is this the start of a late-season slide for Philly? Can the Cowboys exploit what the 49ers did so well last week? Back the hosts to get the W and set up a thrilling end to the regular season in this division, with the 49ers watching on closely too.
