Fight preview, Predictions
This is a fight card that boxing fans around the world have been looking forward to since it was first announced. The event in Riyadh is the first of its kind and promises to be highly entertaining, especially with its original scoring system in place.
Each promotional company has five chosen fighters that will compete against the opposing team. Points will be awarded if a member of your team wins and extra points will be awarded if a fighter wins by knockout. It has also been revealed that the winning team will win an additional prize pot of 3 million US dollars.
The main event is a heavyweight showdown featuring knockout artist Deontay Wilder and the popular Zhilei Zhang. Both men are coming off defeats to the same opponent in Joseph Parker, so will be looking to impress and put their name back in the hat for future world title fights.
Last time out we did not see the Deontay Wilder we are used to seeing. He produced a very unimpressive performance and many fans are now wondering whether the former heavyweight champion has passed his best.
Zhang, who is the older of the two fighters at forty-one had an epic fight against Parker, knocking him down on two occasions. He narrowly lost the fight on a majority decision on the night. Many believe his awkward style will be very troublesome for ‘The Bronze Bomber’ so it will be fascinating to see how this one unfolds.
Some of the other featured bouts on the card include England’s Daniel Dubois taking on Filip Hrgovic and also Hamzah Sheeraz vs Austin Williams.
Our prediction for the main event is that the fight will not go the distance! ‘Big Bang’ Zhang to get the win via knockout.
