Serie A TV rights in the UK: OneFootball announce new rights deal

With TNT Sports now confirmed to have just 76 live Serie A games in the UK and Ireland this season, OneFootball will continue to provide fans with the option of having full coverage.

Only two games in Matchday 1 were available via TNT Sports last weekend, and the case will be the same this upcoming weekend with Serie A fans offered a limited option to follow the action.

However, OneFootball have now confirmed via an official release that all 380 games of the 2024/25 season will be available to watch through their new service, as they hold exclusive rights to eight games per round, while the other two will be co-exclusive with TNT.

It’s added that Serie A fans in the UK and Ireland can purchase any single match for £4.99, or choose a Team Pass for £79.99, or sign up for a Season Pass for £99.99.

In turn, Napoli vs Bologna and Verona vs Juventus will be available across both platforms this weekend, but fortunately, AC Milan, Inter, Napoli, Roma and fans of the all other clubs in the Italian top flight will be able to follow proceedings through OneFootball’s online streaming platform.

It’s a groundbreaking and bold move from OneFootball, as it’s a model that they hope will prove to be successful in attracting and subsequently building a strong viewership base to make it financially viable in the long run.

Given the nature of the package options, it mirrors a model used for major leagues in the USA who have offered international viewers a similar choice over the years, and so it will hopefully cater to a market that is increasingly using streaming platforms.

Importantly though for the consumer, it’s a way for Serie A fans to now be able to watch every single game this season if they wish to watch beyond just TNT’s offering, and they’ll get a chance to sample the platform again this weekend.
