Match predictions, preview

Chelsea head into this game coming off a 2-2 draw away at Aston Villa. In what looked to be an inevitable defeat, Mauricio Pochettino’s side produced an impressive second-half display to come away with a point. ‘The Blues’ still have a chance to finish in a European position so there is still a big incentive for them.

The home side has even more injury problems heading into the game as defenders Thiago Silva and Axel Diasai have been ruled out.

Spurs cannot afford any more slip-ups in their quest for Champions League football next season. They have lost their last two matches in the league including the North London derby so they will be desperate to find some form heading into the last few games. Postecoglu’s team will be without Timo Werner and Ben Davies for the remainder of the season having picked up injuries last time out against Arsenal.

Chelsea won the reverse fixture in November 4-1, and we expect them to come out as the victors again on Thursday night.
